Hello, Patric here, research scientist and software engineer currently living in the beautiful city of Vienna. In my spare time, I'm working on my side project UMLBoard.

I started programming at the age of seven or eight with a small GW-Basic program that asked you about your name and your (hard-coded) password - security was not such an issue in those days - and made my way through CAD systems, industrial robots, railway systems, video games and many more.
Currently, I'm working as a researcher focusing on software architectures in general and microservice systems in particular.

The reason I started developing UMLBoard is that I had the feeling that most UML tools out there did not provide what I was looking for, a simple and easy-to-use way to draw conceptual UML diagrams.
And of course, because it's a lot of fun!

If you like, you can find me on LinkedIn or follow UMLBoard on Twitter.
